A Show of Guild Spirit
Members

First off let me say how incredibly proud I was of my members last night. Several members Whakata, Lotacrazy, Holycrusador, and myself banded together to get one of our best tanks geared a little better. After pooling together some mats we were able not only to make one, but two peices of Trial of the Crusader crafted gear for Hearts death.

Second of all I'm extremely proud of Heartsdeath. She's showed MAJOR strides in not only learning how to tank, but doing so while leading an occasional raid, and that's not easy to do.  I just wanted to give you a shout out and say that you are awesome and doing a great job and that we are proud of you! :D Grats on your new gear!

Thoughts on what it means to be a guild.
Members

I've been thinking about this for a bit and I wanted to write this so that all people who browse our site can see it. Despite what has been said about us from a particular guild, (who shall not be named because I do not believe in public defamation) we are still growing. Several of our new members have asked me "What is forgotten?" Well, we are not a hard core raiding guild. If that's what you are looking for then you might be suited better elsewhere.

Let me give you a bit of insight. When I formed this guild several years ago, the officers and I didn't want a guild where we would be told "You can't do this, and if you do you will be punished. There is no use to QQ." or "We are your only hope of raiding." Pardon me, but to be utterly frank, what a crock of bullshit. No guild is anyone's "Only hope of raiding" to think that you are an elitist son of a bitch. So by now you are asking so wtf is forgotten. Well, we are a casual raiding guild. Yes, but what does that mean. Well, raiding is not a requirement of our members. We feel that raiding should not become a "Job."

However when we do raid, we expect you to be ready and to take it seriously. Then again, don't take it so seriously that if we don't down a boss that it's the end of the world. This is a GAME, GAMES are meant to be RELAXING. If we spend all of our time stressing over not getting a boss down the first try then we aren't going to have fun. Fun is what this game is about. So we want to have a raiding guild yet in a relaxing fun environment. How do we do that? Easy, you have a family. That's what this guild is a family. I consider everyone from the officers to the level 10 alts as valuable as the other. No one is more important or has more "use" than anyone else.

For instance, we recently had an event where a friend was treated badly by their guild. They joined us recently and I'm extremely happy they did. It's sad that things had to happen they way the did, but I'm sure that they will be better for the long run. The bottom line is, I don't want a war to start. However, I will not hesitate to protect our members from "Elitist Jerk Attitude." If you start shit against my members you are starting it against me. I want all of my members to be happy and have fun in a safe environment. I will not let any person or guild stop that, if you don't believe me...try me.

EPGP Now in Use
Forgotten has begun using EPGP as a systems to help with both the guild and raids.

-EPGP stands for Earned Points/ Gear Points. What this means for the guild is by a couple of ways you will earn points to bid for gear in raids or to redeam items from the guild bank. We decided to use EPGP over DKP because this still gives people that do not raid regularly a chance to get gear in raids by doing other things to aid the guild.

A few ways to earn points are: donating items to the guild, taking the time to help your fellow guildies, showing up for raids when you sign up for them, being ON TIME for raids, participating in raids, and by signing up for the STAND BY list to replace anyone that might have to leave early. These are just a few ways to earn points, a longer list will follow in the guild section.

To figure out what your Loot Priority is for an item you wish to bid for you Subtract your Gear Points (Items you previously recieved in raids) from your Earned Points. The person with the highest points then is the one that will win the bid. In the case that there is only one person in the raid that can use the gear, but they have no PR (Loot Priority Points) to bid, they will still get the item. We don't wish gear to go to waist; we simply want to keep it fair to everyone while encouraging our people to do what they can to aid the guild.

EPGP points will be displayed in your Officer Notes in guild for you to view. If you have any further questions about this please ask an officer.
